Founded in 1975, our membership is comprised of a diverse group of writers from more than twelve Southern and Mid-Atlantic states who represent a variety of genres, styles, and levels of experience; but who are bound by a common passion for the written word.

This week, we’re introducing Dancing with Bear Publishing
a person or company that prepares and issues books, journals, music, or other works for sale.
Dancing With Bear Publishing is a full service, innovative publishing house owned by author Marie McGaha. We are a Christian publisher and strive to publish only the best works that glorify God, and help people in their walk with the Lord. No matter where we've been, God has a plan for our lives. And no matter what we've done, it's never too late to ask God to forgive us. He is a ready and willing help in times of trouble, and through the pages published here, we hope to inspire, minister, help, and show the love of God.
Dancing With Bear Publishing keeps the author in mind with higher royalties, promotional help, the best editors, and cover artists.
If you are an author, whether aspiring or multi-published, check out our submissions page and send us your manuscript. We think you're going to love being a part of the DWB Publishing family!
We are happy to welcome you to the Dancing With Bear Publishing Children's website. Our children's authors are the best in the business and offer stories with heart, love, and guidelines to grow by. We offer the books in both print and e-book format, so whether you want to sit down and read with your child, or keep them occupied with an electronic reader while on a road trip, we have several different formats sure to fit your e-reader or computer.
For mommy and daddy, we have a collection of books at our parent site, Dancing With Bear Publishing, that are just the thing for reading when you have a few moments alone, or at bedtime. Our books for grown-ups offer spiritual encouragement, Christian standards, and are available in print and e-book format.

The Ticket to Write Beatles-themed Festival playwriting contest is now open for entries for the fourth year. We are currently exploring several venues and slots in Liverpool to perform the selected plays.
As usual the plays can be about the people, stories inspired by songs and song-titles or any genuine connection with The Beatles.
The should be 40 - 45 minutes long and able to be performed by a maximum of four actors. More characters are allowed if it is practical to multi-role.
The winner gets a tasty £150 and it costs only £10 to enter. Entries must be in by April 7, 2015.
All plays will be assessed anonymously by a theatre professional and three will go forward to be performed. Professional judges and the audience vote will count towards the final result.
All entries will receive a considered written critique from the assessor who will receive all of the £10 entry fee. A windfall has enabled us to fund the prize money.
Full details are under How To Enter on our website www.acedrama.co.uk
